ICOS oil-sealed bearing unit
ICOS oil-sealed bearing units provide oil retention while protecting against contamination. They consist of a single row deep groove ball bearing and a single-lip, spring-loaded NBR radial shaft seal on one side. They satisfy sealing requirements that exceed the capabilities of standard integral sealing solutions and, compared to external sealing solutions, need less axial space, can simplify mounting requirements and avoid expensive machining of shafts. They have slightly higher friction than standard sealed deep groove ball bearings. As with deep groove ball bearings generally, they are particularly versatile and are optimized for low noise and low vibration, which enables high rotational speeds. They accommodate radial and axial loads in both directions, are easy to mount, and require less maintenance than other bearing types.
